Pastoral Transition

Fellowship is in a period of transition as we search for a new pastor to lead our congregation. In the Presbyterian Church, we live and die by committee’s and procedures and in a Pastoral Transition, there is no difference.

One of the items required of the church is to prepare a Mission Study of the Church. In this study is, there is a “temperature” of the congregation where they believe the church is and where the church should go in the future. It is also a document about the church, its history, its mission and the makeup of the congregation. This document is used as a template in the search for the new pastor who will lead the congregation by the Pastor Nominating Committee.
