What to Expect

To visit a new church can be daunting. So many questions. What should I wear? What kind of worship will be presented? What about my children’s needs? If it were easy, we wouldn’t need this page. We want to be as helpful to you as we can to make your experience at Fellowship a great one!

Our Sunday morning worship experience is one of FELLOWSHIP. Fellowship with God. Fellowship with each other. Our Sunday morning worship experience is more than a worship service. Two worship services are provided with different worship styles in each service.

The 9:30 am traditional worship service is conducted in a “casual formality style,” reflecting a sense of familiarity and tradition while celebrating the joy and presence of the Holy Spirit. We seek fellowship that inspires, and a reverence that instills awe and wonder. A Bible-based message proclaims the truth of the living Word of God through Jesus Christ. Singing is lead by a talented chancel choir and a magnificent organ. Also a four octave hand bell choir routinely performs. God is glorified through music.

“Tapestry” is Fellowship’s contemporary praise service beginning at 11:30 am in the Sanctuary. Tapestry is a causal, intimate setting contemporary worship experience for those who are de-churched from a traditional worship experience or who are un-churched and may now be only starting a life journey looking for/or with Jesus Christ to life long followers of Jesus Christ. Music is a large part of this worship experience and is led by the Tapestry Praise Band that leads the congregation in current praise, worship and contemporary Christian music. The teaching of the Word is delivered in a lecture style presentation from the main floor making the hearing of the Word a more intimate experience. Tapestry unites all ages in a joyous quest for a more intimate relationship with God. If you would like to audition for the Praise Band, click here and direct to “Blake” in the subject line.

First Sunday of the month there is only one worship service that is blending of both styles of music with the Chancel Choir and Praise Band leading the music. On these Sundays service begins at 9:30 am in the Sanctuary. This blending of the services brings the separate services to worship the Lord as one church, together in fellowship. The remainder of the Sunday’s in the month is the normal two services.

IMG_20131201_103047_187Communion is celebrated in both services and at Easter and Christmas time along with other times of the liturgical calendar. If you believe Jesus Christ is your Lord and personal savior, you are encouraged and invited to partake in the Lord’s Supper.

A church bulletin is provided to you by the ushers at both worship services to guide you through the service. Items in the Order of Service that are participatory are in the bulletin and on the screens above the Chancel in front of the Sanctuary. Inside you will also find special announcements and ministry inserts.  You can see the most current bulletin here.

Child care is provided with a nursery and children’s Christian education during the services. Adult Christian education opportunities are provided in on Sunday morning as well at 10:30 am.

Dress as casually or informally as you feel comfortable for either service. Most people tend to dress somewhere between casual and dressy.

We’re so glad to have you join us! Come just as you are!
