About Us
Fellowship Presbyterian Church -- a congregation
with a diversity of ages and interests -- is a wonderful
place to explore the faith that both challenges and comforts
us throughout life!
The name Fellowship exemplifies our
friendly and open atmosphere, one in which we collectively
strive to create meaningful relationships of faith and
friends -- a place where no one is a stranger. Here we
struggle with the tough questions of our time and try to
understand the love, grace, forgiveness and guidance of our
God.
We strive through our Christian Education program,
programs for all age groups, mission and worship to
exemplify the power of these principles in our community and
our everyday life, following the examples set forth in the
life of Jesus Christ.
We are proud of our mission involvement, our Christian
education programs and our challenging worship.
We are a church that allows nobody to leave as a stranger!
We KNOW that friendly smiles and strong handshakes are
contagious. We work hard to ensure that people who
arrive as strangers will leave knowing that your presence
was welcomed and that you've either made or become friend of
one of us.
Fellowship Presbyterian Church was the byproduct
of a group of dedicated believers realizing in 1959 the need
for a Presbyterian Church in Northwest Greensboro.
Since the first organized worship held at Claxton Elementary
School in 1964 until today, Fellowship has been instrumental
in molding the lives of people in Guilford County and the
surrounding area. The church has been worshipping at
its current location and in the current building since 1984
when the congregation then 125 strong eagerly supported the
construction of the current sanctuary.
Fellowship Presbyterian Church
has from the beginning placed strong emphasis upon
service outside the local church. Whether on mission
trips to Mexico or areas in our own country ravaged by
storms or other natural disaster, feeding and bedding the
hungry or homeless in our own county or assisting with
constructing Habit For Humanity housing,
Fellowship Presbyterian Church
responds when needs arise.
Fellowship Presbyterian Church
was served by the Rev. Dr. Gray
Clark from 1979 until March 15, 2009. The church utilizes a
Presbyterian form of governance comprised of a central board
called the Church Session and by a number of committees of
laity and clergy, each responsible for a specific
operational area.

"Gratitude Journal"
We recently asked members of Fellowship to
take a minute and note what they are thankful for. The following
represents a number of those responses.
I am thankful for:
-
My family, friends, employment, Jean R. , church,
home, security and faith.
-
My family's health.
-
The friendship and goodwill at Fellowship
Presbyterian Church.
-
The love of family.

Our family's health and well-being. We are truly
blessed.
-
My physical health, my spiritual salvation through
Christ, my home & church, my family, the love of my husband and the joy of
being his soulmate.

Family & health.
-
For family and friends; my health.
-
A renewed interest and emphasis on a greener world.
-
My family, the opportunity to worship freely, and
the music program at our church.
-
The freedom to decide how I will spend my day; that
I don't have to stand in lines for food or water. I have a home, heat &
health.
-
Warm, loving memories of my past; undeserved,
abundant blessings now and continued expectations of good things to come.
-
My wonderful, loving parents.
-
My family, especially my daughters!
-
The change in my life this church has made; with the
inner peace it gives to my soul.
-
Oxygen, family and food because without oxygen we
could not breathe; with no food we would starve and with no family we would
be lonely.
-
God's healing hands.
